According to the Marvel forums, these things are bad ideas

I just want to get this straight. Man - Thing versus white collar criminals is a bad idea. Crossdressing Undead Vampire Batman is a bad idea.

Seriously, though. I think these two posters have unintentionally created some awesomeness here.

A couple of months ago, I was playing some Team Fortress 2 when someone started yakking about how Bane was a good guy and The Riddler was a private investigator in Gotham City Sirens. This piqued my interest and I started reading comic books again.

I stopped some time in the 90's when I was a kid. All I'd bought at the time was Spider - Man. All I can remember is that there was an issue where Peter Parker was running around with a paper bag on his head while fighting crime.

I found out that Bruce Wayne was "dead" and Dick Grayson was Batman. The beginning of Dick Grayson's run as Batman seemed as good a place as any to start. After a while, I started buying some Marvel stuff. I have since discovered that being a DC fanboy would be a whole lot cheaper. Nevertheless, I'm hooked. I'll probably be buying comics until I somehow get bored of them again or until I'm too poor to budget for them.
